WHAT?

Did I never say anything?? I know I mentioned something last November, but WHAT? Nothing before that?

SO, in June, 2024, I became a GRANDMA for the first time! I still pinch myself, as does my daughter and my son, who is “Unc Unc.”

My granddaughter was born June 9, 2024, coming in at 6lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long! She was born at 22:03! I was so proud of my daughter, she was so strong! She had the baby natural and it was quick! I’ve never seen movement so fast of the nurse and I’ve never seen a room fill with doctors and nurses just as quickly! When my daughters water broke, it seemed like it took hardly any time before the baby was here! I know it was a little bit of time because of what was going on, but WOW.

ANYWAY, my sweet baby granddaughter, nicknamed MJ (her first and middle initials) is now 8.5 months old, and MAN, she is just the best and makes me laugh and smile every day! She’s crawling all over and pulling herself up to stand and really wants to start walking, WATCH OUT!

She’s a beautiful baby girl, and if you can imagine- she’s Filipino, Chinese and Spanish on her Daddy’s side and Chinese Portuguese, Malaysian, Mexican, Basque and Yaqui on her Mommy’s side.

I LOVE coming home after work to see her sweet face, and we have our own little screaming welcome when I walk in the door, LOL. It’s really me just mimicking her and she loves it! So do I 🙂

Anyway, just wanted to share THIS bit of news! Sorry it took so long to share!

My Favorite Drinks

What is your favorite drink?

I have several favorite drinks. Well, I’m not a big drinker, but my favorite alcoholic drink would be Stella Rosa Black. I actually love it over ice.

I can’t seem to go a day without coffee. I drink a half cup at work, it’s all I have time for, but when I go home, I’ll drink another 2-3 cups of instant coffee. I do have a Keurig, but I LOVE this new electric water kettle I have. It’s so convenient. My daughter recently asked me if I wanted to sell my Keurig since I’m drinking instant coffee and I told her no. I plan on going back to the Keurig soon, LOL.

I also love Milk. sometimes I just want a cup of milk, and I use it in recipes or in scrambled eggs to make them more fluffy.

Sometimes when I’m craving carbonation I’ll drink my favorite, Coke Zero, IF I have any. I don’t normally keep any at home, but once in a great while, I will. When we eat out, I will order a Coke Zero. If the place doesn’t have any, I’ll go for a Sprite.

I drink Gatorade Zero to help assist with foot cramps and Charlie horses. NO FUN!

I also drink water through out the day, but not plain water. I have to have it flavored and I buy little flavored sugarless packets from the store, who’s ever cheaper.

Curious

Do I have any Royalists/Monarchists followers?

I love the British Royal Family the most, but I also the Spains Royalty.

Elephant Toothpaste

youtube.com/watch

I just learned about this yesterday! I don’t remember doing this experiment when I was in school and I don’t ever recall seeing it done at my job in any science class I’ve been in.

I heard a student talking about it yesterday and had to look it up, SO very cool!

Enjoy!

My Life Story

If there were a biography about you, what would the title be?

If there was a biography about me, the title would be SURVIVED.

At My Age…

What were your parents doing at your age?

My mom was dancing in Heaven with the Angels and had been since I was 4.

My step mom was a SAHP.

My dad was a retired Deputy Sheriff after 30+ years. He was hanging out in his man-cave (the garage) where he has his train set up and all his model airplanes.

Today is…

My Friday and it is a LONG weekend! 4 days, actually! I have 2.25 hours left and I can hardly wait! I even drove myself in this morning, instead of riding the school bus, so that was good to sleep in for a little bit.

I have plans, but nothing amazing- cleaning out my garage, LOL. That’s one thing. The rest of the days, nothing is planned, and that’s alright too. 😉

Does anyone have any plans?

What a SIGHT….

It was truly BEAUTIFUL!

Today, many, MANY students from the high school that I work at along with adults (I believe some admin) are meeting up with our cross town rivals and quite possibly another high school, at our City Hall in protest against Trump’s ending birthright citizenship and deportation.

It seemed like there were more than 400 students participating. Of course, there were those students that decided it was their chance to get out of school early, and immediately went left instead of right and participating. Some were caught and were told something by admin, but I think some got away with it.

THAT bugs me. It was no surprise, but to see all the students walking off campus together and hearing the horns honking in support was just amazing! The students that set it up were all really informative and did a great job. They posted their intentions on Social Media and to see it live really got to me. I shed a couple tears.

As I write this, I got a pop up on the Citizen’s app about an incident at City hall and I see all the kids arriving, to a LOT of cheering and support!

SO proud of these students!
