No Return Receipt Yet

Usually when we send the kids a card or letter, it takes no more than 2 MAYBE 3 days.

I called their Delivery Post Office today to inquire about the 3811 Form. The Manager said that the letter hasn’t gotten there yet OR the letter carrier has it with him today to give it a few days.

Letter to N &L

Wrote and sent the kids a letter 10/24/95 and mailed it today. I asked them how they are doing and that I hope things were going well for them.

I let L know that we got the card with her pictures in it, and that I was glad to see she liked the Benji cards. I told her it looked like she liked soccer, a lot, and asked, “do you?”

I asked N how his team did in Baseball and asked if he is playing any other sports. I asked him how the dinosaur movie was that we sent, if he liked it, was it interesting.

I asked both of the kids if they used the San Art set we sent, if N liked the planes his dad sent, and said that I hoped they liked everything we sent them, that we had fun getting them.

I asked how the weather has been (where they live) that it had been quite chilly at night here but during the day it was real nice, in the low to mid 80’s. I let both kids know that w are all fine here, Sarah was getting nuttier by the day. I told them that she was going to be a Bunny Rabbit for Halloween, and that she puts on her costume every other day or so and hops around. I also asked N & L what they were going to be.

I said, “well, that’s about all for now. I have lots of yard work to do so I’d better close for now. I will write again soon, ok? We all love and miss you. Dad xoxo Pat xoxo & Sarah xoxo”

I sent this letter Return Receipt requested.

Phone Call

L called tonight. Keith only got to speak to her for less than a minute before J got on the phone to yell at him, because she was VERY unhappy about the fact that it was MY writing on the box we sent LAST MONTH. J said that the kids knew it wasn’t from him and that it wasn’t his writing on the box.”

WHAT?! LOL

Keith asked her what difference would it have made if the man on the corner addressed the box or the postal clerk for that matter. The fact is the contents were from both of us. He kept asking her what her problem was now, and she told him that she did not want me writing the kids or send them pictures or anything “EVER!!”

She’s still pissed off about the July incident, clearly.

ANYWAY, we had sent the box on 9-22. It contained presents and pictures from their vacation with us and a letter from me. The kids should have gotten the box on or around 9-25-95. J waited until tonight to call. Either A) her husband had been home this whole time on vacation or work leave or off week, and this was the first chance she got to call, or B) she thought Keith was going to be served papers tonight and was primming him for the moment or C) all the above.

J is premeditating and methodical and Keith was not served tonight.
