Happy Birthday to My Guy ❤

I can ‘t believe it was 68 years ago this day that my Guy was born! He doesn’t look his age, but the years of pounding the pavement as a Letter Carrier have definitely caught up to him! He still carries on as the saying goes, you can’t keep a good man down.

This day has started off really good! First of all, I woke up! Any day above ground is a blessing! I didn’t sleep all that great last night, I kept waking up. I was afraid I was going to oversleep as this week is Semester Finals so I had to be to work a little earlier than normal to do my morning supervision. It’s also the last week before Winter Break. Students get out at 12:45, but I have to stay until my usual work time. I’ll be busy so that’s good. Students last day is Thursday, while my last day is Friday.

While I was working, my boss called for me so I had to go meet with her. I got my evaluation. First one in 7 years! It was good! Do you know how good it feels to hear that you are appreciated and an asset to your work community? It brought tears to my eyes. I was happy and proud at the same time. Last year I had 3 months of nonsense and it really took a toll on me, I felt. Bosses changed so I had to change my mindset. I hated that issues affected me and people tried to make it hard for not only myself but others, but I love what I do and I wasn’t going to let it continue to affect me.

Anyway, it’s almost time, like a half hour left so I best get going. Hope you all have a great rest of your day and I will write again soon! Until then…

What’s My Favorite…

What’s your favorite cartoon?

Since I’m still a kid at heart and like to be silly, I do really like SpongeBob Square Pants. I also like whatever my 18 month old Granddaughter likes, LOL. We act silly together :-D.

Good Morning~

How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? I was off work for a week and it was so nice to relax and not think of anything except breathing and my family.

I did have a few appts to attend but other than that, I spent a lot of time with my funny little toddler granddaughter.

I was talking to my daughter one day and told her how I just knew her dad, my late husband, would have had the BEST time with playing with our granddaughter! It was the 20th anniversary since his passing on 11/29, and he is surely missed. We went to the movies that night, as we do as a family, because Keith loved going to the movies. We saw WICKED: FOR GOOD and my son and I loved it! My daughter said she loved WICKED better. I thought they both were great! We didn’t make it to his favorite burger place, In and Out, because it was already after midnight and we were all pretty exhausted.

ALL in ALL, it was a great vacation.

It’s back to the grind, for 2.5 weeks before we are on Winter Break for 2 weeks, WE CAN DO THIS! LOL

Have a great day, everyone, will write more later!

P~
