Weird

This week has been a little weird at work. Last week a student went home sick. This week same student went home sick, flu like symptoms both days. Another student was having nasal congestion, and today, towards the end of the day, suddenly the a/c in the class felt like Queen Elsa was visiting, it was freezing, and even I was freezing cold, which was weird, then my stomach was upset, but I was holding on.

By the time I got home about 1pm, I had no energy and I was sick!

WTH?! Whatever the bug was came in and went quickly, I feel better now, just exhausted, but there is no rest for the weary and I’m about to leave for an appointment.

Just crazy!

Hope you all are having a good day!!

Are You Clingy?

I know I have been. I know why- I think. Past relationships. My Mom died when I was 4, and I think that’s probably when my huggy phase started. My dad wasn’t a real huggy person, but I believe my mom was.

Then in my early 40’s, I became a widow., suddenly and unexpectedly. Here one hour, he was gone 4 hours later. As time went on, and I entered into another relationship, which I’m still in, 14 years later, I always needed to be near him, touch his arm, hold his hand, make sure he was still there. At night, i would hold a corner of his boxers, just to know he’s there, or lay on his arm, sometimes do both.

I have since outgrown that, not because I wanted to, I still get anxious, but I don’t think I was ever able to get him to understand why I was like that, so I had to just stop being like that. I felt that he thought I was too clingy.

These are some comments I received from my Union Rep., our Union Sec., and a friend.

I wrote a letter to the Upper Echelon of the place I work for, because of an insensitive comment that was made by a lead negotiator for the Business. Crass is quite an appropriate word, and yes, I used it in my letter.

Their comments brought tears to my eyes because I KNEW what I wanted to say and how I needed for my letter to sound, and their responses meant more than they could ever imagine.

The request I made in my letter May not pan out, but at least the Board knows how I and I HOPE my fellow Chapter Sister and Brothers feel.

Hello!

I can’t believe it’s JULY 1 already! Where did the time go?? Things are decent 😉 We have a 4 day weekend this weekend! Working Summer School, or “Extended School Year” (ESY) we only work 4 days a week. Being that the 4th is on Sunday, we also have Monday off 😉 We have two more weeks of ESY, then off for about 3 weeks, then back to work, regularly scheduled programming 😉 THANK GOD! My paycheck misses the hours and $$.

Hope you are all doing well. Have fun this weekend but PLEASE, stay safe!!

TTFN,

P~
